About Us
The Carson Valley
Woodturners is a group of local woodturners interested in improving our turning
skills and showcasing our art. We are made up of novice to accomplished turners
with everyone in between. We pride ourselves in our outreach to anyone who may
be interested in becoming a woodturner or those wishing to improve their
skills.
We are located in the beautiful Carson Valley area of northern Nevada, home of Minden, Gardnerville, Genoa and
the nearby cities of Carson City, Reno and Lake Tahoe.
We are associated with the American Association of Woodturners (AAW) which
provides a vast amount of information to our members. Through AAW we provide our
members with information on regional and national symposiums regarding
woodturning and related topics. The AAW also publishes a member directory
listing members worldwide and club contact information for clubs throughout the
nation.
You may want to attend a meeting, and find as many of us have, a new passion.
